2. Video game industry is Finland's rising star

Summary:

The article says that substitution of role of leader of market to video-game and software companies, why it is possible  and their gradual growing up. Video game and small software companies are now leading Finnish market growth, which was previously industries of chemistry, forestry and metal. There are already plenty of know-hows about games in Finland and experts anticipate that game industry still has a great potential. IT service and software sector are gradually growing up showing increasing income and number of employees.

Persuasive:

I think this article is instructive especially for government of Korea since it had misconception about game, keep doing making restrictions about playing it and doesn’t know the potential of game market. In Korea, government regard game as a kind of drugs saying that people cannot control themselves about gaming. So they makes lots of restriction about game playing of people(especially students), which results in hardships for game and software companies. But, there’s tremendous opportunity in game industry when it comes to Korea, which is famous for it's e-sport competitive power and people's high interests in game, which governments cannot make use of it. Korean government should realize the truth about game, stop obstructing doing it, do not hinder this golden market.

Students in Finland work together frequently, and the material they study is important to them.

Summary:

This article shows 13 reasons why Finland’s education system enables happy teaching and learning and the major 3 reason for it could be participation and collaboration, not competition is emphasized, grading and testing have no importance and personal time is valued highly.  The infrastructure of school originally intended to design for promoting collaboration and they heavily emphasize play in class. There were no high-stakes standardized testing, plus grades are not given until 4th grade. Students can get frequent long rest time because students’ capacity for engagement and learning believed to be most successful when they have a chance to unwind and refocus.

Persuasive:

This article is very beneficial to me because I can find major differences between Finland education and Korea education; participation, rather than competition, no emphasis on grade and highly valued personal time. Korea society requires highly competition among students which makes them recognize their friends as their opponent. Grading system is also severe that students always keep their attention about improving their score. Usually students have much less time of rest in Korea, and it is not recommended, rather school want to study more.We can learn a lot about Finnish progressed educational system this article  from this article.

This article about self-tracking device is helpful to me and society since I personally want to study this field deeply, those devices can be convenient and actually improve people’s health. My goal of study is to research and make “bio chips” which is inserted into human body and enable to check what is going on inside the body easy by monitoring outside and is similar to self tracking device. Self-tracking device can help people without consuming time way to meet doctor, which mean people could more frequently check their body since it is not annoying compared to actual moving out. This increase in frequency could result in improving their health by prevention. This new technology could help both me personally about having knowledge about it and society making improvement of health.
